A little elbow grease...

Last week I went to my favorite antique store in the area, they have lots of fun finds and good pieces. Anyhow, we came across this piece that we looked at and looked at and could not figure out what it was! The hubby went to ask and we found out it was an old (circa 1950's?) home radiator cover. Sounds fun, huh? But really, it was awesome and I said, "hey, lets make that our TV stand," so we did.

A little while later, a little structural support in the form of some 2x4's and a lot of soap and water and elbow grease... here it is



Back behind the lattice work we have some speakers that you can see in the picture because of the flash, you can't see them in person

I am thinking of taking a trip to ikea to get some floating shelves for above the stand next weekend when I go to Charlotte to visit my best friend, who you may know better as the insanly talented person behind the blog The Life of Riley. Can't wait!

I think it would be a lot better if we didn't have the standard beige carpet and beige walls associated with apartment living.
