Summertime, and the weddings are here!

Well, summer is officially in full swing, and the weddings are upon us! This weekend we traveled up about 10 minutes from where we tied the knot to see some good friends get hitched. They had a BEAUTIFUL wedding up in the mountains. The weather was perfect and the food was yummy. It was a really fun time- and I thought I would share a few pictures because I'm getting tired about only posting about design!

me and my honey on the way!

He was like.... "stop distracting me," I obviously didn't listen.

So pretty!

Me and one of my dear friends Jess! I am SO excited for your wedding in LESS THAN A MONTH!!!!Me and my hot date.

Fun times! and yes, the blog did get an update- I took the picture in the header in Camogli, Italy. Ahh- good memories of good food and good wine.
Have a good start to the week!!

I could use a little help...

Well I'm back. We had my birthday celebration this past weekend with all my family. My cousins from all over came up and we packed into my parent's and grandparents houses in the upstate and had a WONDERFUL time. It was so nice just to have time to be together. We ate and shopped and ate some more- took naps and had chocolate = the perfect weekend.

My b-day is tomorrow, and me and the hubby are planning on going out and eating way too much and drinking some good wine. I love dates with my hot husband!!!

Anyhow, I have been working on a little something I need some help with. A little audience participation if you will. So please let me know what you think!
Last month- on the way to an engagement party for some dear friends, we made a side trip to Nadaeu 5 minutes before the store closed, and came out with this console table.

Good bones but I didn't like the finish. So OF COURSE a little PEACOCK BLUE paint fixes everything!
In process. Luke will tell you that I am a nightmare when I paint. I am very OCD about it. He is not allowed to touch it. I have a system. Sand, wipe, sand again, wipe down. VERY THIN COAT of paint, dry AT LEAST 8 hours. Paint again. let dry. lightly sand. Final coat. Sit for 8 hours and done!

And here it is in its new home. Sorry for the bad picture quality! And that lamp has to go I know- I am just looking for the perfect one to replace it!
My dad was appalled that I payed for a piece of driftwood, he was adamant that I could find the same thing in my backyard! Ahh the price of design.

And now here is what I need help with. The knobs that came with the console are BORING. So I found some perfect ones from Anthropologie. Sigh... amazing.
But I need 8 and they are about $10 a knob. That adds up. So I found some other options at Hobby Lobby but I can't decide if I like them. HELP! Do you like any of them, none of them??? Should I just go with the Anthropologie ones?

Crazy Summer Time

So this summer is crazy. I mean crazy. I have one weekend open until AUGUST. August! That is 2 months from now! Ahhhh! I'm excited about it, several dear friends are getting married, beach trips and road trippin. Fun times. I'll keep you posted!

If you are like me, the Real Housewives is one of your guilty pleasures. The fights, the fashion and the ridiculous attitudes, I love all of it! Well, Kelly from the NYC seasons is renting this gorgeous home in East Hampton for the summer, to the tune of $300,00! Brunch at Saks featured this beautiful home and I just had to pass it on. Its simple in its color palate but with LOTS of unexpected, fun details! Enjoy!
