Recap: this past crazy week

Sorry for the blog silence everyone, this past week was crazy for me, with an awful sinus infection, high point market, and a busy week at work. I have been hiding in my apartment for the past two days and I'm just starting to recover! Market was awesome, every muscle in my legs ached afterward but it was worth it! Riley and I had a great time hanging out and seeing all the amazing people in our business come together for a week, its so inspiring and reminds you why you love what you do.(i'm still dreaming about out Dean and Deluca chocolate croissant breakfast, perfection.)

While I was hiding in my apartment watching re-uns of glee and catching up on my magazines, I found these recipes in Real Simple that I am dying to try!
Deep dish Pepperoni Pizza with Arugula Salad. YUM. recipe here.
Bacon-Gruyere Meat Loaf with Roasted Vegetables.  here. (lets make meat loaf even better by putting bacon in it- shall we?)
And this will be my breakfast in the morning. delicious.

Besides looking absolutely delicious, these recipes look relatively easy. I'm always on the lookout for easy recipes that I can put together easily and quickly when I get home for work. All I want to do after work is sit down with a LARGE glass of red wine, and any fast recipe that allows me to spend more time with my hubby and wine and less in the kitchen makes me very happy. Can I get an AMEN! What are ya'lls miracle recipes that you turn to again and again when you don't have time?

  1. This one is easy! Garlic Broccoli Pasta: Cook some pasta (I like bow tie) and sauté chopped broccoli in a skillet with olive oil. Add garlic and red pepper flakes. Add cooked pasta to skillet with more olive oil. Stir to combine. Add to bowls and enjoy that husband and wine!
