A break from the heat

As anyone living in midlands SC knows, we are dying here. Its been over 100 degrees for more days than I can count in the past couple of months, so this past weekend, Luke and I escaped to the mountains.
We kayaked here...

 Saw a bear! (he's kinda hard to see)

 Went back to where we got married almost 2 years ago!

 And that view reminded me why we got married here...

 Went to a friends mountain house with a lot of our friends.... and this was our view off our balcony Saturday morning.

 The boys built a zip-line! That's what happens when you get  a bunch of engineers together!

 

It was so refreshing and wonderful to not feel like we were melting- bring on the fall!
