Beachy Waves

I have long fine hair and curling it has always been a pain and  it always falls out fast. Well, I found Kendi's hair tutorial and my faith in beachy waves were restored. Super easy and fast and stays in all day. Thank you Kendi, I love you. (Don't we all have girl crushes on her? )
Well I just saw another tutorial from one of my favorites, Kinsey who guest posted it on A Beautiful Mess. Her technique uses a straighter instead of a curling iron and I want to try her way too but can't decide if the straighter would work on my hair.

So I want to know, have you used both? Which was was your fav??

  1. I've done both and though mastering the straightener method can be tricky, I do like the results better. It's a little more natural looking. My hair doesn't usually hold curl either and it definitely holds curl when I use the straightener!

  2. I need to learn this too! Although, my hair is so thick that the time it would take to make my hair wavy is daunting.

  3. I tried so so hard to do this style this morning to the point that I was late to work and it still didn't pan out ... *sigh*

  5. I always use my straightener when I want waves. Always. Its easier to get messy waves and stays longer. The trick is lots of hairspray!

  9. I have a post scheduled tomorrow and it's about learning how to curl my hair thanks to another blogger's tutorial also! That's funny :)

Yours looks great! I just got the iron down so I am not sure if I am ready to do the straightener but I should try.
