This or That

I'm working my way room by room through my little rental, and now I've landed on my long hallway. If we owned our house, I would paint the ceiling glossy navy and be so in love. But since we are renting, I'm looking for a less permanent way to add some interest.
Option 1
I love the oversized proportion of this photograph in the room, and I would love to create a gallery wall of oversized photographs from my and Luke's travels, and use Jenny's method to hang.

Option 2
I blogged about my love for solid canvases over at Michaela's, I love the graphic punch it adds...

Which option are you leaning toward? I'm thinking Option 1, I love the idea of an oversized gallery wall going down the whole long hallway and being able to enjoy some of my favorite images from our travels.

  1. I like the idea of photographs from travels... the solid canvas wouldn't be as appreciated in that hallway because it is so long and narrow.

  3. I love these interiors and the idea of incorporating photos from your travels is such a perfect idea! So many people just by trinkets to put up on coffee tables or around their house, but I think a photograph can be both more personal and more appreciated! I hope you had a great weekend and have a wonderful Monday.

  4. I like option 1 as well. I'm working my way through my rental room by room as well and I'm just SO anxious for everything to be DONE. But then again, I know when everything is done I'll be itching for something else to change! Haha.

  6. Ya, i think i like option 1 as well. It almost looks real. I thought it was a first glance. I love when renters love to get creative in there space, rather than letting the 4 white walls dominate their lives. Good goin'.

  8. Option one is so gorgeous, will add a lot of conversation opportunities to your space, and I think is more personal and sentimental! Can't wait to see it all finished xo

  12. I love oversized pictures!
All images are presented better in large format on a wall ;) and it gives the room so much more life!

  14. Definitely the first for a hallway! I think the second works well in a room where you can see it straight on? Love both ideas!
