I'm working on photographing a new project to share with you all and I ran across this from one of my all time favs a beautiful mess. Emma and Elsie share their best tips for photographing your home... and I'm totally taking notes, how about you?

Weekend

 I never get tired of that view. Over the weekend, Luke and I headed down to Charleston to spend some time with some dear friends on the beach.  We ate Fresh Market ham, guryere and fig sandwiches and just hung out all day in the water. We left the beach just in time for dinner and to watch one of the hugest storms I've ever seen roll in... and this gorgeous sky was the aftermath.

 We played in the water with this and watched all the wind surfers and paddleboarders... side note: Have any of you tried it? We really want paddleboards and I would love some input

We sang Zac Brown way too loud (and off key for me) on the way home. His new CD is really good!

Poshlocket leather

When Poshlocket contacted me about doing a review of one of their bracelets, I jumped at the chance to snag one of these beauties from their leather line. Its been added to my daily rotation and I've barely taken it off. I love my turquoise one, but a close runner up was the orange or cream, and they are on sale, so hop on it!

$10.50, no your eyes don't deceive you. The lands end gingham shirt is really that good of a deal. We ordered Luke one and he loves it (there aren't that many sizes left so get on it). The polo one is also a good deal on sale down from $90. I love this look for guys during the summer, so summery and classic. 
P.S Lands end Canvas is having an awesome sale right now with an extra 30% off everything. I ordered these for me and can't wait to wear them all fall. I got them for $20... down from $90. Oh and I was super bummed they didn't have these in my size.. so someone who is an 8.5 please order them for $18 so I can live vicariously through you.

Get in my closet / Madewell sale

Everything about the extra 30% off Madewell sale makes me happy. I want to add all these items to my closet ASAP and with the extra 30% off sale, some of these items are crazy cheap. I've been wanting another high low skirt for a while and this sale might make me pull the trigger.. and how fun would it be with that chevron sweater? I want to be wearing this while making my way through my local farmers market tomorrow, which is complete with homemade blueberry donuts and boiled peanuts:-)
av also has us dreaming of a Euro vacation, and these two outfits would totally get me through Europe in style. Maybe I need everything.

After seeing this on design sponge I've been stalking this shop on etsy. Silk polka dot lumbar pillow? I mean, come on! The entire shop is full of gorgeous pillows and many are on SALE. I'm thinking that the first one might be coming home with me... what do you think?

 Wedding season is in full swing, and I've always struggled to find something to wear that I haven't worn before, especially one summer when I had 7 weddings in 2 months! Then I discovered the skirt, the often under-appreciated heavyweight for weddings, and your savior if you want to have fresh looks without buying 7 different dresses.
As skirts go, this one might take the cake. Its tulle and blush people, and can be styled for a garden wedding to a black tie evening.

I'm so excited about the weekend, what about you? I might be the only one still in love with summer, even though its 105 degrees here I love it. We are planning on spending a lot of this weekend on the water and trying a new wine bar so I'm pretty happy.

Handmade

Lauren tweeted about these sandals from etsy last week and I haven't stopped thinking about them since. Custom and handmade in Greece and super reasonable at $54!

Target and leopard

I'm of the mindset that less is more when it comes to clothes. When I wake up late and I'm stumbling into my closet and I only have 10 minutes to get ready before I have to leave for work, I like when I can reach for one article of clothing. Like this dress. Easy and long and add a leopard belt and I'm ready to go.  And fact that said dress was only $15 dollars at target makes me even happier.

Baubles

Even though L and I had most of last week off, we worked all week. And when I say work, I mean organized our entire house, made a headboard with nailhead, painted two consoles, cleaned out our guest bedroom and made an ottoman. I'm tired just thinking about it and we totally got in bed at 9:30 on multiple nights. We did manage to squeeze in dinners at our favorite restaurants, multiple 4th celebrations with good friends, pool time every day and a trip to the farmers market.

 I did get around to 'organizing' my favorite baubles as well. I love looking at all my favorites every morning. I was also so excited to add these 3 stella and dot pretties below to my rotation. I won a giveaway from Annette's facebook page and having been wearing one of the three pairs almost every day. And I look at how pretty the boxes they came in are, I don't want to throw them away!

This is what is going down this weekend at my house. Just bought the ingredients and trying to hold off making all four this afternoon. Totally excited to try the pasta two ways by my girl Julia and the queso. Can we say delicious?
