tribal bikini (splurge vs steal)

Its no secret I'm all about the tribal trend. I've been lusting after this mara hoffman
bikini but the price tag had me second guessing myself. Considering my bikini's normally end up kayaking in the surf I hesitate to drop over $200 on one. Then I saw this ae bikini on the Today show. Problem solved. Definitely in my spring wardrobe.
What about you, have you started shopping for bathing suits or is it still too cold for you?

I like the steal better in this case! Major score!

UMMM What?! I have way too many bathing suits but that American Eagle one is gorgeous! I thought for sure it would be the splurge!

I like the ae alternative you found. I haven't even thought about bathing suit shopping yet, but I guess the fact that you have means that spring is really coming, so that's great news!

I love Mara Hoffman's bikinis and cover ups! It's usually on Gilt ever so often - so definitely keep an eye out there for a good deal!

Both prints are darling but I'd have to agree, the steal wins!

I think I'm in the minority here, but I love the print on the splurge bikini. HOWEVER, I could never even imagine spending such amount on money on a swimsuit. Both are great finds though!

I am obsessed with Mara Hoffman, but I too cannot afford the steep pricetag! I really wanted the Inca half-top bikini, and then I found a similar one at Forever 21... for only $22.50!! http://www.forever21.com/Product/SetProduct.aspx?br=f21&category=swimwear&origcategoryid=45179386-02set
