Summer is my favorite season of the year. I live for bathing suits, the beach and easy dresses. Something about growing up on the coast gets in your blood. Fortunately for me, not so fortunate for all the sweater loving girls, here in South Carolina we get summer weather about 9 months out of the year. But even though the temperatures haven't really dropped the days are getting shorter and the nights colder and it reminds me fall is coming. I do like fall but it just reminds me we are getting closer to winter, NOOOO. I couldn't let summer leave without rounding up some of my favorite moments.

We went to the beach a lot and the lake even more.

I painted my bedroom dark gray and we finally got crown molding.

I found the best tee ever and am still wearing the death out of them.

My DIY distressed denim shorts are one of my favorite ever / I wear them 3 times a week at least.

This recipe for biscuit chicken pot pie has been pinned a lot of pinterest / and it should, its amazing.

We went to little rock to see my brother and I ate my weight in nachos.

I was so encouraged about your responses to this post. Its so great to know other people are are in the same boat as you!

Ok so I am looking forward to wear my leopard print booties this fall and I rounded up my favorite inspiration on how to rock them.

Summer I'm sad to see you go.

  1. I'm always so sad when summer ends, but fall is my favorite season, so that makes it OK. However, once winter hits, I go back to wishing for summer all over again!

  2. I can't believe it is already over. But at least we have fall before winter! BTW I am now addicted to half of your Trader Joes favs. The chocolate croissants have been quite the hit with nieces and nephews when they spend the night!

  3. i have lived in san diego my whole life and am not really a summer person. i live for fall even though it only lasts a few weeks here.

  4. i'm sad too, but then i remember that september is actually my favorite month and summer comes back around next year, we'll just appreciate it even more :) I'll miss tomatoes and basil the most, i think. Oooh, and corn.
